The scoop on David’s workshop
On the 16th of April, I went to work modeling for a photographer named David Tejeda, he is a professional photographer with over 20 years of experience. He teaches aspiring and established photographers how to properly use small strobes to light subjects and models correctly. On this day he was having his workshop in the Orange County area in California, in a church, and the class was packed as usual. (If you read his blog you will see that his classes are often packed and sell out quickly due to popularity.) When I arrived at the location the pizza had just ...
Cassidy Zellmann is the WOman!
I modeled for Cassidy Zellmann again It's always a pleasure and a lot of fun working for her. She lets me move and do my own thing without restriction or boundaries. I will move and she snaps without limit, I will change expression/pose and she will shift and angle herself to capture the moment. The concept was beauty shots telling a story about an article she had chosen. This one happened to be "black lipstick". I modeled in pearls and wore bright red lipstick. The shots came out great and I can't wait to see the prints! :) After the shoot we ...

the Tiara Project with Mark Cano
I had the privilege of modeling with Mark Cano and Hydee again this week. The task at hand was pretty simple….Take the most beautiful photos and showcase the product so the buyer will want to use Mark and the models for their website. For this session the product was a Tiara and the company he was trying to sell his photos too was the product’s company. If everything went well…. I would be on the website and Mark would be the photographer taking the photos for the company. I’m not even sweating it, honestly, the photos were marvelous! There’s no way they won’t put him on board, the photos he took of me and the other model are absolutely gorgeous and they showcase the tiaras quite well. Anyways time will tell Overall, it was a fun shoot! We had sushi from the restaurant next door and then we all watched American Idol. After the Tiara shoot Rodrigo changed my make-up so we could do another photoshoot with Hydee. I loved the look so much I nicknamed it….The Pumpkin pixie look, lol Read More →
Paul Mitchell Charity Fashion show
Hey there! Paul Mitchell just hosted their 5th annual charity fundraiser fashion show on April 17th at Boulevard 3 (www.boulevard3.com) and I was part of it! It was for several charities including the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation, the Larry King Cardiac Foundation, the Andrew Gomez Dream Foundation, City of Hope, Food 4 Africa, Fran Drescher’s Cancer Schmancer Movement and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Getting ready for the Paul Mitchell Charity event was chaos and perfection at its best, lol Everyone knew what to do, and the Paul Mitchell professionals and students were on task making sure everything stayed organized. I was a bit nervous but so honored and excited to be part of the event! This was only my second runway show but I didn’t let the jitters stop me. I was wearing 2 outfits for two different designers. The first outfit was for an up and coming designer,Tiffany, and the second was for Jai’re couture. Tiffany had me wearing this awesome, trendy outfit that was inspired by the urban cultures of Los Angeles and the”Cholitas”. In my opinion the clothes were fresh and modern, I can definitely see myself wearing what I rocked on the runway. Jai’re’s designs were more elegant yet the word sexy is the first thing that came to my mind as I looked at the clothes, sexy and elegantly unique. Everything was so professional. The hair stylists, the make-up artists, the designers and the models. I made sure to practice my walk in the corridors, and in the halls- wherever I could I practiced. I remember being behind the curtains the music was pounding and popping outside, the crowd was alive and buzzing around out there….We the models were nervous but ready to go, we kept the mood up by dancing to the music... Rodrigo and StudioTENoTHREE
For the past two days I’ve been modeling for a duo with the most amazing talents I’ve ever seen. The professionalism that these two have shown is simply marvelous.Rodrigo Alcover is a professional make up artist here in the Los Angeles Area. He grew up in the Philippines and as a young man was always interested in the arts. He grew up with a passion for colors and painting, yet one way or another, he found his true calling painting people. He went to a cosmetology school in Orange county and soon after his career took off. The soft spoken and humble artist is happy to help out in all areas of fashion, from runways to beauty pageants, to editorials and commercial, he does them all and even hair. There is nothing he can’t achieve or duplicate. This has been a tremendous advantage to him, yet he doesn’t let it get to his head. Always pleasant and positive this man is the next big thing in his field. I had the pleasure of meeting Rodrigo Sunday when he asked me to model for his portfolio. I agreed in a heartbeat and was more than pleased with the results. The photographer, Hydee, a good friend of Rodrigo’s who is also known as StudioTENoTHREE is also a bottle of overflowing talent. This young woman is the embodiment of artistic innovation, she is currently the editor of a magazine, LA PINOY as well as a fashion photographer and a jeweler. The duo greeted me with warm welcomes and made sure I was comfortable before starting the work day. I had the privilege of getting my make up aribrushed on and then sculpted by Rodrigo’s hands. Its true what they say about airbrush make-up….It feels lighter and less cakey, defenitely a more natural look. When my make-up, hair and everything was set up Hydee started shooting me. She let me move and was... Read More
